As promised last month, this simmering brew of bug fixes, balance changes, and new features has landed in time for the holidays. Enjoy all that the Underdog System and WAR Report have to offer. It's the 'go to the action button' and it's hot! We've also added lots of pretty this month, with the addition of Bloom and HDR lighting to the game. Mmmm, eye candy! Not only that, but don't be surprised to see exploding color in the sky. Yes, fireworks are back this Holiday Season for Keg End. Highlights: - The WAR Report – The WAR Report window will give players a snapshot of the action taking place throughout the world. The window will give you not only a list of current events, but a means to teleport to the closest warcamp, chapter hub, or flight master! This instant action teleport will be available every 8 hours.
- The Underdog System –This system is intended to aid the Underdog faction on a given server. Underdogs will essentially be granted a ramping RvR handicap that makes it easier for an under-populated realm to take objectives and cap zones. This system is tied directly to city captures and does not last forever – It will decay over time if not used. In other words: Underdogs get out on the battlefield and start smacking some skulls together, the time of your revenge is at hand!
- Keg End – Fireworks and ale. What more needs to be said?
- Bloom & HDR – The game client now allows users to enable Post Processing effects to heighten the visual experience of WAR. This will add bloom and HDR (High Dynamic Range) lighting to the game world. Users will experience a visually harmonious and enhanced feel in the game world through these two rendering techniques.

Download the Free 14-Day Trial >> Well if that wasn't enough we have word from the Producer of Dark Age of Camelot, Mark Davis, on the newly released 1.100 patch. Hello everyone! Version 1.100 is coming to town, and we’re excited to tell you about it. Version 1.100 introduces Dragon Scales, a new type of alternate currency that drops off all of the dragons, including Goldestandt, Cuuldurach, Gjalpinvulva, Xanxicar, Nosdoden, Myrddraxis, and Draco, their minions. These Dragon Scales can be bartered for Draconic Stones, Dragon remains, and Dragon treasure. The Dragon’s aren’t exactly going to part with their scales easily, so would-be Dragon hunters beware! Also, the Midwinter Festival kicks off from December 17th through January 14th and brings celebration and decoration to the coldest and darkest times of the year. Tavern Keepers decorate their buildings with festive adornments. Citizens of each Realm will set up decorated evergreens in the festival grounds and offer to part with holiday greenery for those who provide them with assistance. The Realms will be visited by Olibar, the Midwinter Tomte, Santa Nicholas (Albion), Lucia of the Light (Hibernia), and Jack Frost (Midgard) each who come to bring Midwinter cheer and gifts. Players may also participate in the Trinkets for Tots quest to round out this season of giving. And I’m still looking for the Lurikeen who put a lump of coal in my sock last year! Of course, there are more items in this version such as the attention we gave to Ice Wizards, Maulers, and Vampiirs, but we’ll leave those to the patch notes. Until then, happy RvRing to all and to all good night!
